ABOUT annamika

Annamika Chowdhury is a singer, composer, and live performer with a passion for blending cultural heritage and contemporary music.

Born and raised in Mariani, Assam, India, to a Bengali family with Assamese roots, Annamika celebrates the rich tapestry of Indian music while bringing her unique voice to global audiences.

Her musical journey began at the age of three under the guidance of her mother in Hindustani Classical Music, and by seven, she was already performing on stage.

Encouraged by her maternal uncle, who introduced her to the wider world of competitions, Annamika quickly made her mark. At just 12 years old, she was selected for Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs 2007, and the following year, she emerged as the winner of this prestigious competition, mentored by legends Sonu Nigam and Suresh Wadkar.

Her performances have graced stages across India and the globe, reflecting a journey that started in a small town in Assam and now spans continents.

Annamika moved to the UK to pursue an MA in Pop Music from the University of Chester, where she now lives, creating a beautiful fusion of Eastern and Western musical worlds.

She has performed at many events across the UK, with notable highlights including Leeds Conservatoire, representing the South Asian Arts Organisation UK (SAA-UK), and being interviewed and featured on BBC Sounds Yorkshire as an emerging artist.

She is currently working on exciting musical fusions, combining the best of both worlds, and developing newprojects and collaborations — bringing passion, culture, and storytelling to every performance, coming soon to audiences everywhere.
